I love magazines. I can really appreciate a bookstore with a solid Magazine rack. It’s a bit addicting, and also probably is analogous to how I buy candy based on colorful packaging. A few days after graduating College I woke up, and with a itch for sophistication I subscribed to 2 magazines, and I’m about to subscribe to another today.

While browsing the magazine area of my hometown bookstore today I came across “Mean Magazine.” I couldn’t distinguish really what kind of magazine it was at first. However I was legitimately pumped on every article. The subculture is probably, “All the people your psyched on.”

This issue was Dennis Hopper, awesome. Errol Morris, Awesome. Chuck Palahniuk, I hear he’s awesome but I can’t read so good. Harmony Korine. Dan Deacon. Tim and Eric. Matt Furie!!

I am excited to see such a diverse magazine . It would seem to be publishing a “League of extraordinary Gentleman”(and women) in its issues.

One of the most exciting things I think about finishing the documentary feature i’ve been doing is to work at getting articles in magazines. Gosh that’d be awesome.
