As I right you this post.  I’m at my neighbors house watching American Werewolf in Paris, while singing American Werewolf in Calgary, While wishing I was watching American Werewolf in London.

Todays post is about a legend, someone who I unfortunately have not been able to fully appreciate till now. Bo Diddley’s the name.  I remember sitting in my 5th grade classroom,  I was bored and staring at the back of the “Famous Guitars” t-shirt the kid was wearing in front of me.

I was reading over the guitar names and artists Eddie Van Halen, Kurt Cobaine . . . then, THE TWANG MACHINE, Bo Diddley’s Guitar.  I remember being stunned by what I thought to be the coolest guitar I’ve ever seen.

That particular guitar has always been a personal favorite of mine, I mean I don’t know a rats heck about guitars, but look at that thing.

So if you haven’t heard, it was just recently that Bo Diddley passed away, and it’s just now that I’m learning more about they guy. The more I’ve been reading the more I love the guy.  I’ve check out some of his performances and he shreds.  enjoy.

“I was out to destroy the audience. I wanted to destroy ‘em, just make the toughest dude in the crowd pat his foot. I’d find a groove to get ‘em by watching feet, and once I got one guy moving, I’d start working on the dude sitting next to him.”  –Bo Diddley

While writing this post I remember my friend Victor made a guitar or did something guitar related for Warren Zevon. Who sang Werewolf in London.

Full Circle Rough Necks.
