After a roughing the open road on my bucking Buick LaSabre in Upstate new york for a week, I’m home. If you noticed I changed the blogs look up a bit, and changed the name to a shorter simpler, “Denim Cowboy.” In the past year I’ve been driving all over the country from California, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas City, and most places in between. Standard Protocol was sleeping in my car in rest stops and wherever I parked. At some point on one journey, waking up at one of many rest stops, I remember thinking, “This is the closest to a cowboy I may ever get.” And thats pretty much where the name of the blog came from. Just about roughing it hard, and alone.

So I was up to Ithaca and Binghamton shooting for the documentary. Spent some time at the annual Ithaca Festival where some buddies set up a box jump. My bud Mickey Marshal is also on the East Coast for a while killing it.

I unfortunately messed up my tailbone losing the bike on a nac-nac. This one went well though.

However directly next to the jump set up this happened. Which may be in Guinness. I may be in there somewhere.

I’ve really come to enjoy Ithaca, it’s quite a friendly town. I’ve met some awesome folks in my time there and appreciate their friendliness. Yesterday was my last day in Ithaca. I rose in the morning at 7:30 and had an interview to shoot at 6PM. It was a pretty slow day wondering the town. I went to a coffee establishment called Gimme Coffee. Great place, solid coffee, and the owners a funny one. She supposedly makes wild wedding cakes. Which impregnated me with the idea of someone tackling a Lionel Richie Cake.

At one point in the day some little kid was on one of those little kid bikes attached to moms, he rang his bell at me and smiled at me, awesome. The interview was with an awesome bud who gave a great interview as he got tattooed.

For the second time in almost a month I past up getting my 20 dollar pop-tarts tattoo.

Upon my ride home I was greeted with a bad omen, crossing an intersection in the middle of nowhere 20 miles WEST of 79 I drove over a Darth Maul mask in the road. Pretty remarkable. When I hit the first toll my drivers side electric window stopping working with it rolled down. It was a windy 2 hours back.

In other news. I GOT A SKATEBOARD! Yeehaw I’m 10 again. Here’s a photo of the Roman Rip board from Myrtle Stuff. Myrtle is a project I’m real pumped on from Artist Russ Pope. He’s rad, google him now.

His find board is sitting next to my Ugly board I arted on like 8 years ago. Sitting next to that is a poster from the Rage Against the Machine/ Wu-tang Clan Tour. Sitting above them all is the Petsmart.com dog (R.I.P.).

I have a bunch of random stuff on my brain to post about but I’ll cut this one short. There may be more today.

keep on keepin on.
